Rochester, MN (KROC AM news) - An annual food collection drive by Rochester Boy Scouts on Saturday brought in more than 10 tons of items that were taken to the Channel One food bank.

Channel One Executive Director Jennifer Woodford says the preliminary total was 21,215 pounds, or more than twice what was collected last year.  

“ We are so thankful to all of the scouts and their volunteer leaders for their efforts!  What a great way to kick off the holiday giving season!! “

Last year’s Scouting for Food collection brought in just over 9,000 pounds.
