Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Rochester police are reporting a break in the investigation into some recent car break-ins.

A police spokesman says the past week and a half has been busy with around 30 car prowlings reported throughout the city. Late last night, officers were sent to investigate two reports of car break-ins in northeast Rochester and were supplied with a description of a vehicle that was later spotted by a Minnesota State Trooper.

A number of suspected stolen items could be seen inside the car, which was impounded by police until a search warrant could be executed. The four occupants, two adult men, and adult woman, and a 16-year-old boy were released pending further investigation.
