Rochester,MN (KROC AM News) - A Twin Cities man is the latest to be arrested as part of the Rochester Police Department’s ongoing crackdown on prostitution.

This suspect wasn’t caught in the city, however. He was arrested Thursday after meeting an undercover officer in Minneapolis.

Police say 36-year-old Christopher Perry of Brooklyn Park made contact with the undercover officer through a bogus online posting last month.

A spokesman says Perry made contact again this week and the undercover officer agreed to meet him in Minneapolis Thursday and begin working for him. When Perry showed up, he was taken into custody and is now facing prosecution in Olmsted County Court.

He is charged with promoting prostitution and was expected to be arraigned Friday.

This isn’t the first time an undercover Rochester officer traveled out of the city to make contact with a suspected pimp.

A man was busted last month after meeting an undercover officer in Brainerd.
