Rochester Murder Suspect Appears in Court
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A brief court hearing was held Tuesday for the Rochester man charged in a recent double murder.
53-year-old Glenn Johnson is facing 1st and 2nd-degree murder charges in the stabbing deaths of 57-year-old Phillip Hicks and 45-year-old Eric Flemming. They were killed March 17th at the Castleview Apartments.
Johnson’s attorney asked the court for a delay in the proceedings until the Olmsted County Attorney makes a decision on convening the grand jury. That decision is expected by next week at the latest.
State law requires a grand jury to recommend 1st-degree murder charges.
Johnson’s $3-million bail remains in effect.
