Rochester, MN  (KROC AM News) - A motorcyclist was seriously injured in northwest Rochester Thursday when he collided with a car.

Police say the wreck happened around 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of 37th St and 18th Ave.

A spokesman says the driver of the car was turning onto 18th Ave. when the collision occurred.

The driver of the motorcycle was identified as Troy Schreiber. A nurse who was at the scene applied CPR until Schreiber was taken to St. Marys Hospital. His medical condition is unknown.

The driver of the car was given a ticket for failing to yield.
