Rochester, MN  (KROC AM News) - A Rochester man was arrested Wednesday after becoming involved in a dispute between a friend and another person.

Police Capt John Sherwin says a woman who owns a home in the 5600 block of Longboat Rd NW contacted 54-year-old Daniel Knutson about 2 a.m. The woman had told a 64-year-old man who had been living at her home to move out but he refused. Sherwin says the woman called Knutson and he came over with a gun and put it under the man’s chin, telling him to leave.

Knutson was not aware the man had called a friend and left the phone connected. The female friend heard what was going on and drove to the North Park neighborhood residence and intervened. The friend left with the victim and they went to the Law Enforcement Center.

Officers later arrested Knutson on felony assault and terroristic threats charges.
