Rochester High Schooler Arrested for Expensive Purse Snatch
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Rochester police arrested a John Marshall student Thursday as the suspect in a recent expensive purse snatch.
It happened last Wednesday night at Apache Mall as a 52 year old woman was leaving the shopping center. She told police a man pushed her to the ground, grabbed her purse and ran. The woman told police the purse contained jewelry and cash in excess of $10,000.
Arrested on a felony robbery charge was 18 year old Abdirisak Aden Affey.
Police say the investigation continues and there could be more arrests.
