Undated (KROC AM News) - Southeast Minnesota was spared the heavy snow that had been in the forecast Monday as most cities reported an  inch or less.

Higher totals were reported west of Rochester with 2 - 4 inches in western Olmsted County and parts of Dodge and Mower counties.The Albert Lea area reported 5 inches.

Totals of 4 - 5 inches were reported in the Mankato area. Heavier amounts were reported in southwest Minnesota with 8 inches near Worthington and 9 inches in  Pipestone.

The official total at the Rochester airport was just under an inch (.8”).

Forecasters are now predicting warmer air is headed this way. High temperatures in the Rochester area during the upcoming weekend are expected to be around 40 degrees.
