According to the RFD report, the first call came a bit after 2 o’clock Sunday afternoon after the owners had accidentally started a shed on fire while operating a chainsaw. The structure was fully involved when trucks arrived and the shed was a total loss.

The second call came three hours later when an adjacent barn, less than 200 feet away went up in flames.  The owners were not present at the second call, however they were located and asked to return. The barn was a total loss.  Crews remained on the scene well into the evening to keep the embers from spreading.  There were no injuries and the fire department is investigating the cause.
