Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A local attorney and commercial realtor has announced his candidacy for a seat on the Rochester City Council.

Scott Hoss plans to file for the 2nd ward seat currently held by Michael Wojcik. Filings for this year’s elections open May 17th. Wojcik is expected to seek re-election.

Hoss is a Rochester native with 15 years of business experience and has a background in civil and commercial law.

He is a shareholder and commercial realtor at Paramark Real Estate Services.

His news release  says:

“ Recognizing the city’s potential for historic growth, Hoss is well-positioned as a natural collaborator and skilled negotiator to lead positive discussion between neighborhoods, businesses and local government agencies to foster smart, sustainable growth with lasting benefits for the community.

Opportunity abounds in Rochester. We’re truly fortunate to live in a city with such a bright future,” said Hoss. “By working together to make the collective pie bigger, as opposed to fighting for our individual pieces, the whole community wins.
