Rochester, MN (KROC AM news) - A Rochester man has been charged with entering a woman’s apartment and assaulting her.

The incident happened last Friday in the 1200 block of 4 ½ St NW. The 37-year-old woman says she woke up around 10 a.m. and saw a strange man looking through her bedroom closet.

When the woman tried calling police, she says 27-year-old Abdikadir Ali Noor grabbed her by the hair and threw her to the floor. She says he wanted to know where his money was and when she said she didn’t know what he was talking about, he smashed her TV with a tire iron. He then said he was going to call 911 if he didn’t get his money back, and he did. Officers arrived a short while later and took him into custody.

Noor was arraigned Monday on three felony burglary counts and two assault charges. According to the criminal complaint, Noor had called police earlier in the morning to say he had been robbed of $3,400.
