Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) -  Rochester area residents will apparently get to experience the rare eclipse after all.

According to the National Weather Service office in La Crosse, Wisconsin, skies are expected to be mainly clear in areas north of Interstate 90 in southern Minnesota. The eclipse is expected to be total around 1 p.m. with about 80-percent of the sun covered by the moon.  

The entire episode should end around 2:30 p.m.
