The employment total for Olmsted County was the second highest on record at a little over 82,000. The figures suggest the growth in the workforce helped keep the county’s unemployment rate steady from January at 3.4-percent. That is down from 3.7-percent in February of last year and remains the lowest jobless rate in the region.

The highest rate in southeastern Minnesota was found in Houston County at 5.6-percent, which was down two-tenths of a point from January.
