Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester man says he became a carjacking victim early Thursday morning in rural Olmsted County.  

Sheriff Department Captain Scott Behrns says the 20-year-old man told investigators he was “ driving around “ in the 5000 block of 48th St NE around 3 a.m. when he spotted two men on foot. He says one of the men pulled out a handgun and he stopped his car.

The man says the men took his wallet and cellphone and then drove off with his car. He walked to a nearby residence and called 911. The car was located about 45 minutes later in a northwest area of Rochester.

 The man says he wasn’t hurt.
