Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Winona State University could begin offering classes in downtown Rochester this winter.

WSU earlier announced plans to expand in downtown Rochester, and on Monday the owners of the historic Riverside Building announced the Alvin E. Benike Company has been hired to renovate the entire third floor of the nearly 100-year-old building at the corner of South Broadway and 4th Street Southeast. The renovation project is scheduled to begin this fall and be completed in December.

The project includes the construction of classrooms, offices, and other collaborative spaces for Winona State.
