MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — A man accused of sending private racist messages to a Black Lives Matter Facebook page has lost his job with Archer Daniels Midland.

The food giant says it investigated the social media comments made by the employee in Mankato. ADM says he's no longer an employee.

A screenshot of Brad Schultz's message, including a racial epithet, was posted on Facebook along with a phone number for Archer Daniels Midland. The Star Tribune  says Schultz later posted another message apologizing for the comment.

Minneapolis NAACP President Nekima Levy-Pounds posted on Facebook that hopefully individuals will think twice before making racist comments on social media.
