Prince’s Paisley Park Estate Will Become a Museum
CORE Media Group, the entertainment company behind the Graceland estate of the late Elvis Presley, is reportedly developing a Prince museum with assistance from Berner Trust, the administrators of Prince's estate.
While this may be good news to Prince’s fans, Hip Hollywood reports that Prince's family doesn’t support the 4-year deal brokered by the estate’s trustee with CORE Media, but can do little about it.
Nevertheless, this is something that many Prince followers want to see happen. Even musicians who performed with the late music icon wanted to see Paisley Park become a historical landmark.
Sheila E., who performed with Prince for many years, told ETOnline that she hopes to honor the beloved singer-guitarist with a museum sharing his never-before-seen photos and memorabilia with his fans.
“We’re hoping to make Paisley what [Prince wanted] it to be. [He] was working on it being a museum,” she said. “He’s been gathering memorabilia and stuff from all the tours, like my drums and his motorcycle.”
This sounds like a wonderful idea. If Elvis Presley can have a Graceland, which attracts tourists from all over the world, then Prince can have a museum at the Paisley Park compound where fans can go and honor the fallen legend.
