Powerball Jackpot Hits $1.4 Billion
Undated (KROC AM News) - Experts expect the grand prize for Wednesday night’s Powerball drawing will be larger than the current amount, which was at $1.3 billion after the Saturday night drawing failed to produce a big winner.
It has already grown since then, rising to $1.4 billion Monday morning. The cash value is at $868 million, before taxes.
The $1.4 billion is not only a world record it is also larger than the annual economic output of 18 countries.
The Saturday night drawing did produce ten 3rd place winners in Minnesota. Third place tickets pay out $50,000.
