Northfield, MN (KROC-AM News) - Authorities throwout southeastern Minnesota are on the lookout for two bank robbers.

The holdup was reported at a Premier Bank location in Northfield shortly before 12 noon today. Northfield police say one suspect approached a bank teller, displayed a black semi-automatic handgun, and demanded money. Both robbers then exited the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The robbery suspects were both described as black males. One was in his 30s, about 6 feet tall with a heavy set build, wearing a black beanie type hat, black scarf over his face, teal winter jacket with purple squares on the shoulders, gray sweatpants and a high visibility yellow traffic type vest. Investigators he was the robber who displayed the gun.

The other suspect appeared to be in his late teens or early 20s, around 6 feet tall with a thin build and wearing a black stocking cap that covered his face, a yellow and black safety jacket with reflective striping, black pants, black gloves, and wearing a dark-colored backpack. Officials say it's suspected he was also armed with a gun.

Both suspects are considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached. If anyone with information about their identities and/or whereabouts is asked to contact the Northfield Police Department 507‐645‐4477 or the FBI at 763‐569‐8000.
