Two Mille Lacs Band police officers arrested 52-year-old Donald Albert Strobel on May 28.

Police say an officer spotted Strobel riding his bike and tried to stop him because he had a warrant. Authorities say Strobel rode away and fought two officers who tried to handcuff him, biting one's arm and the other's finger.

Strobel is in custody on $1,500 bail and due in court Aug. 22.

Wabasha County attorney Karrie Kelly says Strobel left the courthouse April 12 after telling his attorneys he was going to the bathroom.

He was convicted in that case and now faces assault charges.
