An Oronoco man has entered into a plea agreement in a case involving an attack on an Oronoco woman four years ago.

30-year-old Joshua Brand admitted to a charge of simple robbery in Olmsted County Court on Thursday and is scheduled to be sentenced June 12th. He was originally charged with three other felonies, including first-degree criminal sexual conduct.

According to the criminal complaint, Brand was accused of forcing his way into the victim’s apartment and raping her before he drove her to downtown Rochester. The woman told police he then left her and drove off in her car.

She called 911 and Brand was arrested a short time later after he was involved in an alcohol-related traffic crash.
