Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) -  The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an incident involving a Pine Island teenager.

It happened last Friday night but wasn’t reported until Wednesday.

Captain Scott Behrns says the 16 year old was driving home from her Rochester job around 10:30 Friday night when she noticed red lights in a vehicle behind her. Behrns says she pulled over along Highway 52 in Oronoco and a man walked up to her car and said something about patrolling for suspected drunken drivers. The teen says the man was wearing a “trooper-like “ hat but she did not see a badge. The man then walked back to his vehicle and she drove home.

She describes the man as white, between 20 and 30 years old with a “babyface.” She was not able to get a description of the vehicle he was driving.
