Pine Island, MN (KROC AM News) -  The Pine Island School District has cut ties with its transportation director after he was arrested for DUI while on the job.

A criminal complaint filed in Goodhue County Court charges 39-year-old Beau Twaddle with four counts of DUI. One count involves driving a bus.

The complaint says a deputy who was at the high school April 10th detected the smell of alcohol while talking to Twaddle around 9:00 AM.  The complaint says Twaddle agreed to take a preliminary breath test and it showed a blood/alcohol level of .1 Twaddle took another test two hours later and it showed a BA level of .08.

Twaddle initially told the deputy he had a drink two days earlier. He then said he had a drink the night before.

It was later determined Twaddle had driven a school bus with 58 students aboard and also drove a district snowplow the morning he was arrested.

He was arraigned Monday and ordered back to court for an omnibus hearing May 24th.
