Coon Rapids, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Minnesota State Patrol says a 22-year-old Blaine man died early Saturday after he was struck by a car on a Twin Cities freeway.

The State Patrol’s preliminary report on the incident indicates the victim was walking in the middle of the right lane on I-694 in Coon Rapids when he was hit by a vehicle driven by a 35-year-old Plymouth woman around 12:20 a.m. His name has not been released.
The State Patrol is also investigating a fatal traffic crash that occurred Friday afternoon in Isanti County. Officials say a 55-year-old Cambridge man was fatally injured when his car crossed over the center line on Highway 95 near Cambridge and collided with an oncoming semi truck. The deadly crash was reported shortly before 5 PM.
