Rochester's restaurant scene seems to be changing quite a bit -- and there's another change on the way soon, as well.

That's right, a brand new eatery is set to open... and possibly as soon as this weekend! It's the new Pasquale's Neighborhood Pizzeria, which is located next to the People's Food Co-Op at the corner of First Avenue and Fifth Street in southwest Rochester, in the new 501 on First apartment building.

According to an article in the Rochester Post-Bulletin, the restaurant -- which is almost directly outside the back door of the Quick Country studios -- has been under construction for the past year. When I walked by Monday morning, there was a flurry of activity going on, as crews worked to put the finishing touches on the restaurant.

And, it might not be long before it's open for business. According to the article, Pasquale's could possibly be open as soon as this weekend. The article says the New York-style pizza and Italian restaurant has already been doing some catering and food truck events, and has a grand opening planned for November 18th.

But, with a little luck, who knows? It might open earlier than that. I'll keep my eye on it each day and let you know. Anybody else hungry for some pizza?
