Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - There will be a new layout at the Olmsted County compost site, beginning this Wednesday.

A new entrance is at the south end of the site that’s located at the county recycling center.

Motorists bringing leaves and grass clippings will enter the site, drop off their load and exit on the north end.

Compost will also be available at the same dumping site and the county will no longer charge based on weight. Instead, the county will suggest donations. The county is also suggesting a $5 donation for the yard waste that is left at the site.

The compost is at the north end of the site.

Yard Waste Drop-Off: $5.00

Finished Compost:
$0.50/ 5-gallon bucket
$5.00/ car load
$20.00/ pickup or trailer load
