Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Rochester Airport has announced the two major carriers offering flights out of Rochester will soon be adding to that service.

American Airlines, which currently offers four daily departures from Rochester to Chicago’s O’Hare Airport plans to begin offering a fifth daily departure in early September.

Rochester Airport Executive Director John Reed says Delta Airlines will also increase the number of flights utilizing large regional jets. 50-percent of the airline's flights out of the local airport are currently on larger Bombardier CRJ700 jets. That percentage will rise to 75-percent during the peak travel months of July and August, which will increase the number of seats available for travelers wishing to fly out of the Rochester Airport.
