A report issued by the Minnesota Department of Health credits the Affordable Care Act for dropping the state’s uninsured rate among adults to the lowest on record.

The report says an additional 135,000 Minnesotans between the ages of 18 and 64 signed up for public or private health plans, which lowered the uninsured rate for that age group about 3-percentage points to 6.7-percent this year. The national uninsured rate among adults is 12.4-percent.
