Rochester Police are reporting a happy ending to the search for a missing teenager.

Police Captain John Sherwin says a police investigator located 13-year-old Journee Malone at a residence in northwest Rochester at around 5:15 Friday afternoon. She was safe, and Sherwin says she is no longer considered an endangered missing person.

The police department issued a request for the public’s help in finding the girl on Wednesday, when officials indicated she had not been seen since Monday in the vicinity of her home at the Gage East Apartments. At that time, the teenager was described as a vulnerable juvenile due to her last known mental state.

On Friday morning, the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension issued a statewide alert for Malone.
