OTSEGO, Minn. (AP) — Relatives say a body found in the Mississippi River in Otsego is that of a Monticello man who had been missing since Saturday, and they've called off the search.

Wright County Sheriff Joe Hagerty says a man's body was found around 11:30 a.m. Thursday by volunteers who had been looking for 23-year-old Joseph Brunn. He was last seen leaving a bar early Saturday, heading to a nearby hotel, but never made it there. His family says he was at a wedding before he disappeared.

The Midwest Medical Examiner's Office has not officially confirmed the identification, but the search for Brunn was suspended and his family confirmed the discovery at an afternoon news conference, during which they thanked volunteers.

Hundreds of searchers had combed the area over the last several days.
