St Paul, MN  - Minnesota Governor Mark  Dayton has ordered all United States flags and Minnesota flags be flown at half-staff Friday at all state and federal buildings in the State of Minnesota from sunrise until sunset.

Also, as a mark of respect for the victims of this tragedy, the governor has proclaimed Friday to be Patriot Day and A Day of Service and Remembrance in the State of Minnesota.

And in solidarity with the rest of the nation, Dayton is encouraging Minnesotans to observe the National Moment of Silence at 7:46 a.m.  That's the moment the first plane crashed into the World Trade Center on Sept 11, 2001.
