St. Paul, MN (KROC-AM News) - Minnesota's unemployment rate remained at 2.8-percent in November.

While the seasonally adjusted rate was unchanged from October, it was down a half percentage point when compared to November of last year. Data compiled by the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development shows the state saw a net loss of 800 jobs last month and the gain of 3400 jobs reported last month was cut to around 2500 positions.

During the past year, Minnesota's economy has added over 33,400 jobs for a job growth rate of 1.1-percent. By comparison, the national growth rate was 1.6-percent.

Minnesota's unemployment rate for November is still the lowest reported since May of 1999 and is only three-tenths of a point above the state's all-time record low reached in January and February 1999.
