Minnesota Road Worker Seriously Injured
East Bethel, MN (Learfield News Service) - A road worker who was struck by a car earlier this week in a East Bethel construction zone remains hospitalized in critical condition.
Police say Laura Soto Silva was holding a stop sign before she was hit by the vehicle driven by a 19-year-old female. Detectives say the driver may have been distracted. The accident is being investigated by the Anoka County Sheriff's Department.
Silva suffered two broken legs, a fractured arm and shattered pelvis and a fractured skull.
