Minnesota set an export record in the third quarter of this year.

The State Department of Employment and Economic Development says international shipments of manufactured, agricultural, and mining products from Minnesota totaled about $5.5-billion dollars from July through September. That is 5.8-percent higher than the export total from the same three-month period last year.

Canada remained the state’s largest customer, with sales growing 5-percent to $1.55 billion dollars. Exports to Mexico totaled about $640-million, while China was the third largest purchaser of Minnesota goods with $555-million dollars in sales.
