St Paul, MN (KROC AM News) - A  program is scheduled in St Paul Monday to mark the anniversary of the Pearl Harbor attack.

The Pearl Harbor Survivors Association, Fort Snelling National Cemetery Memorial Rifle Squad and Minnesota Department of Veteran Affairs will host the 74th Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day program.

The event is designed to acknowledge “December 7th, 1941, a date which will live in infamy,” and to honor those who perished on that day, but also remember those that live on to tell the history of that fateful day.Survivor Richard Thill will be the guest speaker for the event.

New to the ceremony this year is the Kerkhoven–Murdock–Sunburg Marching Saints Band. his elite group has been selected to represent Minnesota and perform in a mass band at the 75th Anniversary commemoration of the attack on Pearl Harbor in Hawaii next year.

Today’s program will be held at the Cedar Street Armory in St. Paul and is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
