Minnesota is Volleyball Strong

A lot of Volleyball honors to toss around today.

First of all, congratulations to the University of Minnesota volleyball team, number one in the nation! First time since 2004 and only the second time in program history. The Golden Gophers moved up after beating Indiana and Purdue this past weekend.  They were second last week.

Senior middle blockers Paige and Hannah Tapp of Stewartville lead an overall strong roster. Minnesota is 12-and-1 overall and 4-and-0 in the Big Ten.  The Gophers visit 15th-ranked Penn State tomorrow night at 6 P-M.

Also, congratulations to Gustavus Adolphus sophomore Nora Holtan a Rochester Mayo grad, she was named MIAC Setter of the Week. The Gusties are 13-3 on the season.
