Minnesota Flags Lowered in Honor of Former Israeli Leader
St Paul (KROC AM News) - Governor Mark Dayton has ordered all US and Minnesota flags to be flown at half-staff at all state and federal buildings until sunset Friday as a mark of respect for Shimon Peres.
The former President and Prime Minister of Israel died this week after suffering a massive stroke earlier this month. He was 93. His funeral is scheduled for Friday.
Hundreds of mourners have already paid their respects to Peres, including former President Bill Clinton. He and President Barack Obama will be attending Friday’s funeral.
