Minnesota Bicyclist Killed, Struck by Teen Driver
Undated (KROC AM News) - A bicyclist was killed over the weekend in Scott County, southwest of the Twin Cities.
It happened around 7:30 Saturday morning when an SUV struck the victim from behind. The State Patrol says 56-year-old Phillip Ilg of New Prague died at the scene. The SUV was driven by a 16-year-old girl.
Also, a northern Minnesota man was killed Saturday morning. The State Patrol says 83-year-old James Collins was alone in his vehicle when he crashed into a tree in rural Aitkin County. The State Patrol says Collins was not using his seatbelt. He was from Aitkin.
