Minneapolis, MN (Minnesota News Network) – A 70-year-old volunteer trolley conductor is reported to be in critical, but stable condition after a Friday accident near the Lake Harriet Band Shell.The man wasn’t identified.

A spokesperson for the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board says he was helping attach two train cars at about 7:00 p-m when one lurched forward, pinning his body. He was freed and taken to Hennepin County Medical Center.

The Como-Harriet Streetcar line was shut down, but it is scheduled to start running again this morning.
