Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Rochester is not included in a winter storm warning issued by the National Weather Service for portions of southern Minnesota, but the southeastern corner of the state will be under a Winter Weather Advisory from 9 AM tomorrow through noon on Sunday.

The latest forecasts indicate the heaviest snow is now expected to fall across northern Iowa and a small portion of southwest and south-central Minnesota. Southeastern Minnesota is still being told to expect difficult travel conditions with a wintry mix switching to all snow on Saturday with the possibility of 4-6 inches by Sunday afternoon.

The precipitation is also expected to be accompanied by winds gusting as high as 35 mph.
