Mankato Teen Killed in Tractor Crash

NORTH MANKATO, Minn. (AP) — A 14-year-old girl is dead after a tractor accident in Nicollet County.

KTOE-AM reports that a 16-year old boy of North Mankato was driving the tractor westbound on Highway 99 Thursday night with the girl as a passenger.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported that the boy hit a bump, lost control of the tractor and went into a ditch just after 10:40 p.m.

The girl, who lived in Mankato, was taken to a hospital where she died from her injuries. The boy was also taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
