Spring Valley, MN (KROC AM News) - There was a large law enforcement presence in the Spring Valley area Wednesday morning but the man the officers were looking for had vanished.

The Fillmore County Sheriff’s Office called in officers from several agencies to assist in executing a search warrant at a rural residence near Cherry Grove, south of Spring Valley.

The man they were hoping to apprehend was not there. They then learned 34-year-old Steven Holm had taken off earlier on a dirt bike and had been spotted a few miles away. A State Patrol helicopter and Rochester’s K9 unit were called in to help find Holm but there was no sign of him.

The Fillmore County Sheriff’s Office does not consider Holm to be armed and dangerous and is asking for the public’s assistance in finding him.

Holm is wanted on burglary, drug and other charges in Fillmore and Mower counties. A search of the home the officers went to turned up some stolen property and illegal drugs.
