St. Paul, MN Learfield Wire Services/TTWN Media Networks -- A Ramsey County judge has sentenced a man to 30 years in state prison for shooting a teenage girl to death during an armed robbery last September.

Christopher Calloway apologized for his actions in a St. Paul courtroom Friday. Prosecutors say the robbery was set up by Calloway's girlfriend, Kalisa Chardale Smith.

She had told two acquaintances she wanted to meet somebody in a St. Paul alley for just a moment. Calloway was holding a gun as he waited there with two other men. When 16-year-old Samantha Burnette tried to stop the men as they pistol-whipped her sister, she was shot to death.
