Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A former Rochester man who was recently convicted of leading officers on a high-speed chase has been sentenced to 21 months in prison.

The incident happened in September 2016. It began when 33-year-old Jasment Taylor was pulled over by an Olmsted County Deputy near the Rochester Airport.

When the deputy learned Taylor was wanted on a warrant for a parole violation in Wisconsin, he tried to arrest the man but he drove off at speeds of 100 mph. The deputy broke off the pursuit when they neared downtown Rochester. Officers later discovered Taylor had fled on foot after crashing. He was eventually apprehended.

He is currently serving a prison term in Wisconsin where he was convicted of armed robbery.
