CAMBRIDGE, Minn. (AP) — A convicted cop killer is back in jail after allegedly leading authorities on a chase and scuffling with officers.

Fifty-year-old Scott Arlen Lange, of Mora, spent 15 years in prison for killing a Pine County deputy in 1991.

Lange now faces a long list of charges in Isanti County after his arrest Wednesday night following a chase that authorities say topped 100 mph. Authorities say he ditched his car and fled into a cornfield, where a police dog tracked him down and the scuffle ensued.

The charges include three counts of assaulting a police officer, including the dog.

Lange was convicted of second-degree murder in 1992 for beating Pine County Deputy Michael Morrow to death with a flashlight during a traffic stop.
