Man Charged With Stealing From National Guard
MANKATO, Minn. (AP) — Prosecutors have charged a Woodbury man with stealing funds from the Minnesota Army National Guard.
The Mankato Free Press reports 31-year-old Matthew Hite was charged this week with felony theft in Blue Earth County District Court.
According to a criminal complaint, Hite was responsible for paying vendors for a banquet the National Guard set up at the Treasure Island Resort and Casino in 2014. He was supposed to pay out of a National Guard Paypal account but instead diverted Paypal funds into his own account, resulting in the theft of $11,430.
No residential telephone listing could be found for Hite in Woodbury.
