Rochester, MN (KROC AM News)  – Rochester police arrested a man on Sunday after he had gone on a short spending spree using counterfeit $20 bills.

The man went to several local restaurants within a 90 minute span and made small purchases, using the bogus bills and keeping the change.

One of the businesses caught on right away and was able to provide police with a good description of the vehicle the man was driving. It was located a short while later and the man - 23 year old Charles Redd - was taken into custody. It’s believed he is from North Mankato.

He was expected to be arraigned Tuesday.
