We're all angry because we're still dealing with winter, but soon we'll turn our frustrations to Minnesota's other season - Construction Season! It won't be long until you see orange cones and construction zones popping up all around town. One planned project is going to create a huge mess in downtown Rochester. It will be a major headache over the summer, but the improvements are going to be worth the hassle.

4th Street SW is going to be torn up from 6th Ave. SW to 1st Ave. SW for several months. The first phase of the project will be replacing sewer lines and will take a month or two. Then crews will rebuild the road with several enhancements.The proposed changes, which you can see below, include adding a boulevard with trees and plants in the the center of the road and potentially installing benchs, bike racks and public art displays.
