Lynx Suffer First Loss of the Year 94-76
Minneapolis, MN (Learfield) -- Los Angeles Sparx guard Kristi Toliver hit seven-of-11 three-pointers, scoring 25 points and leading her team to a 94-76 win over the Minnesota Lynx Friday night.
The loss was the first of the season for the defending W-N-B-A champions, after 13 straight wins. Maya Moore did her best to keep the Lynx in the game, connecting on a half-dozen three-point shots and scoring 28.
Minnesota had beaten the Sparx just three nights before. The Lynx managed to cut the lead to three points at 71-68, but could never get any closer.
They play at Washington against the Mystics Sunday afternoon at 3:00 p-m.
