MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The Minnesota Lynx have signed WNBA MVP Maya Moore to a new multiyear contract.

The Lynx announced the deal Thursday. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Moore has fulfilled the considerable promise she had as the No. 1 pick in the 2011 draft. She helped the Lynx to three straight WNBA Finals, including championships in 2011 and 2013.

She was named rookie of the year in 2011 and MVP last season after averaging 23.9 points, 8.1 rebounds and 3.4 assists and set the league record with 12 games of at least 30 points.

Moore released a statement saying she is "excited to continue to compete for championships with the Lynx organization."
